Built on 15 Years in the Field
I've been swinging hammers since before smartphones. I've worked on every type of residential project — from gut renovations to single-room repairs — and after years in the trades, I kept noticing the same thing: homeowners were getting taken advantage of, over and over, because nobody was teaching them how any of this works.
The Golden Hammer started because I got tired of hearing stories. A contractor who disappeared after taking a big deposit. A bid that doubled in scope after work started. A homeowner who didn't know they could pull the permit themselves. These aren't rare exceptions — they're the norm, and they happen because there's a massive knowledge gap between contractors and the people who hire them.
My job is to close that gap. Not by doing the work for you, but by giving you the information and confidence to make smart decisions, ask the right questions, and never feel powerless on your own job site again.
